NAME

merde-wallpaper — display the MERDE desktop background

SYNOPSIS

DESCRIPTION

merde-wallpaper loads a PNG image, scales it to the output width without changing its aspect ratio, centres it vertically, crops any vertical overflow, and publishes it as a layer-shell background. The program is normally started and managed by merde(1).

ENVIRONMENT

WAYLAND_DISPLAY

Selects the Wayland display.

MERDE_WALLPAPER_IMAGE

Selects the PNG image. The default is /usr/share/backgrounds/merde/default.png.

EXIT STATUS

The merde-wallpaper utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.
